I'm a research scientist (Ph.D., Columbia) who is privileged to be able to use my craft to advance the safety and well-being of children and youth. I live with my husband who is a tech genius and awesome human being (not necessarily in that order), and two ridiculously sweet and criminally brilliant young female cats named Alex and Zoe.
The adorable cat in the profile picture, Narayan (aka "Brat Boy"), is no longer with us, but his photo has generated lots of donations to worthy causes so I'm leaving it there for everyone to enjoy.
For fun, I knit and bake bread. I also run marathons: I've completed 64 so far and I'm aiming for 100! What I love about Crowdrise is that I get to use my marathoning to support the causes that I care about, and I get to meet and make friends from among the fabulous people in the Crowdrise community who never cease to amaze and inspire me.
