THE STORY:
The American Liver Foundation (ALF) is the nation's leading nonprofit health organization for people living with liver disease. We are a nationwide network of staff and volunteers that provide awareness, outreach, education and patient support services to educate the public about liver health and to improve the lives of individuals and their families affected by liver disease.
Since 1989, the Run For Research marathon program has made a dramatic impact on the American Liver Foundation's mission -- to prevent, treat and cure the over 100 types of liver disease through research, education and advocacy. Last year's team raised over $1.4 million and had team members from across the United States, Canada, London, and Japan. Run for Research isn’t about your race time or past race experience – our team is made of up of outstanding people who are looking to run for a reason!
