Paul and I wanted to choose charities personal to us as a gift option for our wedding guests and TUSK was an obvious choice for me.  

I have loved elephants my entire life.  I grew up searching for every piece of information about them I could find, writing in my own "Pachyderm Paper".  I was captivated by how magnificent they are.  These huge yet graceful creatures, who are fiercely loyal to their families. Elephants are incredibly fun loving, while being very intelligient and thoughtful. They laugh and play and also grieve. 

I watched them survive the 1980s rise and somewhat retreat of ivory poaching only to find we are back where we started 30 years later.
