On February 18, 2010, LCPL Kielin Dunn of 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, was Killed in Action while serving in Afghanistan. I had sent care packages to LCPL Dunn and had never lost an adopted Marine until that very day. I will be running the 2011 L.A. Marathon to honor LCPL Dunn as well as his fellow 1/6 Marines.

In 2010, and all thanks to my wonderful supporters, I raised $1,200 from my first marathon fundraiser which helped tremendously with the costs of sending care packages to my adopted Marines & Soldiers deployed. I was $800 shy of my $2,000 goal and hope to bridge that gap with this final fundraiser before my March 20th L.A. Marathon run.
