Westside Food Bank's mission is to distribute as much food as possible to families on the Westside of Los Angeles County. Our food often enables low-income people to stay in their homes, deterring the problem of homelessness, because it saves them from having to make the agonizing choice between paying for rent or food when they can't afford both.
The need for food assistance in our area is up by over 75% since the start of the recession. Please help us put nutritious food on the tables of local families and individuals. As the food banks warehouse for the Westside since 1981, we annually distribute more than 4.7 million pounds of food to over 70 local social service agencies.
