My father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2008. After a year of treatments we thought he had cleared the woods, but it reared its ugly head again, and on September 5th 2011 my dad died. I started Project Purple in an effort to help raise awareness for this horrible disease in the hope that our contribution will help researchers find a cure.

Pancreatic cancer has one of the highest mortality rates of all cancers, the 4th highest in the U.S., and of the ten deadliest cancers, research on it receives the least funding. Our mission is to bring people together to change this through various running events, such as the New York, Boston, and Chicago Marathons. Each person that joins our teams or donates to our cause helps us sprint faster toward the end of this deadly disease.
