BENEFITING: CONNECT CHURCH
EVENT DATE: Jun 17, 2016
THE STORY:
Three years ago I visited Ecuador with Compassion Intl. I witnessed some of the most extreme poverty I have ever seen, but I also got to see this organization reaching children and rescuing them from poverty and changing their lives.
I discovered there are new areas in Ecuador that Compassion would like to go, but cannot because there is no building to house their program. $80,000 will build that building, so I decided that Connect church could partner with some other churches and raise $20,000 of that total.
I also decided that I wanted to do something personally to help contribute towards that amount. So some friends and I decided to take on a BIG challenge! We are cycling from Washington, IL to Chicago, IL (165 miles) over two days to raise money to build that Compassion project building and church in San Lorenzo, Ecuador. This building will enable Compassion Intl. to reach 200 children in this poverty stricken area and connect them with sponsors. Through that sponsorship they will receive help with clothing, food, healthcare and education.
Would you partner with us in helping reach this goal?
MAKE A DONATION, and MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the life of a child today!
