Join us for our third annual Selfless Elf 5k run on Saturday, December 19, 2015. This will be an exciting way to embrace the season and wrap up our Hunger-Free Families campaign. Dress up in your favorite festive holiday-themed costumes or running gear, and run or walk the 3.1 mile course beginning and ending at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. Registration begins at 6:30 am Race begins at 8:00 am at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank 350 Opportunity Pkwy, Akron OH 44307 $35 Advance Registration, $40 On-Site/Day-Of Registration Runners registered by Dec. 4 will receive a race t-shirt and special souvenir striped elf socks. All others are subject to the quantity and sizes available. Become a VIP ELF by raising more than $250 in pledges and also receive a long sleeve dri-fit running shirt. To guarantee sizing pledges must be confirmed by December 11, 2015.

The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank is a non-profit organization with a mission to Feed People and Fight Hunger. This year, 1 in 7 people in Northeast Ohio will face hunger, and the Foodbank will be there to help. The Foodbank is the source of emergency food for 500 food pantries, hot meal sites shelters and other hunger-relief programs that directly serve individuals and families in Carroll, Holmes, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties. The Foodbank, with its supporters and partners are leading the fight to end hunger in the communities they serve. In 2014, it distributed 26 million pounds of food, providing 22 million meals locally for people in need.
