BENEFITING: SEER FARMS INC
EVENT: Timberland Serv-a-palooza
THE STORY:
The caller left a mesage on the Seer Farms' voice mail, barely able to contain her excitement, speaking almost too fast to be understood. "My house is ready my house is ready. Finally ready. I can take my cats back. Its been so long since Sandy hit. But next week I can pick them up Really next week. I cannot wait. Can you believe it? We are going to be a family again. Next week. I will call again when I have an exact date."
Seer Farms cannot wait either. We are so glad that this Sandy family is going to be whole again. So many Sandy families continue to wait for their reunion days. Seer Farms will continue caring for their animals until every Sandy family gets their reunion day.
Let's put our Paws Up for Seer Farms' new location in Carney's Point. It has taken nearly six months and over 1,000 volunteer hours of demolition, clearing, and renovation to turn this abandoned kennel into Seer Farms' primary canine location. There is still so much more to be done, ranging from the glamorous: the kitty boardwalk, to the not so glamorous: a new septic system. Paws Up for Seer Farms asks everyone to put their paw in the air to volunteer, to raise money to fund the Seer Farms' Out of Crisis Program, and to help raise the roof of the new Seer Farms facility in Salem County, NJ. I am putting my paw up - Will you?
Seer Farms is a 501c3 community services organization that provides animal care, resources, and support for pet-owning families in crisis. This safety net gives families facing domestic violence, homelessness, a health crisis, natural disaster, military service or other life crises time to restore their lives by caring for their animals until the family can be together again. Seer Farms provides for the animals on a temporary basis while the family deals with the crisis and reunites them once the family is able to care for their pets again.
Seer Farms' has saved hundreds of animals from certain euthanasia. With your help Seer Farms can save even more. The family pets who are placed temporarily at Seer Farms are clearly loved by their families, but many of them would not be good candidates for re-homing if they were surrendered to an animal shelter. They are older, scared because of the circumstances their family finds itself in, and at times struggling nutritionally. Let's save more animals and keep families together.
