Every year, thousands of kids start school with no books in the classroom, poor school libraries, and no books of their own. Reader to Reader gives out hundreds of thousands of books to under-resourced schools, libraries and children, but the need is especially strong at the start of the school year. They need YOUR help to get books into the hands of children who truly need the power of reading in their lives.

The summer is here, and school is out! But even though students are enjoying the sun, we're still working hard to bring resources to low-income schools, libraries, and communities. Reader to Reader's work doesn't stop with the school year, and becomes even more important. More than half of the achievement gap between lower- and higher-income youth comes from unequal access to summer learning opportunities. Low-income kids can lose up to two months of reading ability over the summer, while middle-class children make slight gains. Now more than ever it is essential that books are available to low-income children. Help us make this possible with your support today.

Reader to Reader has supported schools damaged by tornadoes, public libraries devastated by flooding, and communities deeply affected by local tragedy. But each day we see examples of how much good is out there. That goodness is not always in the headlines. Sometimes, it's tucked quietly away, but it's there, and is the very reason we do this work--to bring books and other resources to the next generation that so richly deserves them.

Stuff About Me:

There is something about me. Since 2004 in UK and still looking for my place in this world. The biggest dream of my life is to go to Australia and cuddle a koala and travel around this beautiful country a little ( that's why I'm working almost 24/7 to make my dream come true). Another dream is go  to Kenya for real safari and the last one is to see Canyon Colorado the best way to do it is on a horse back, this is what I think. I've got few more dreams like to meet Placebo my favourite band and Edward Norton I admire him. But I'd like to make somebody's dreams come true, as well. That's why I'm here. To help with projects I've picked. I'd like to help with raising money to protect our environment which we really should care about because we may lose all of those beautiful places one day. I'm new here and it takes for me some time to organized myself. I took a part in Race for life to help in raising money for cancer research I give away to my friends clothes and other stuff I don't need anymore and I'll try to make a big effort here. And the last thing I wish I could speak English fluently maybe it'l happen one day :)
