BENEFITING: CAMP SUNSHINE AT SEBAGO LAKE
EVENT: 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon
EVENT DATE: Oct 11, 2015
THE STORY:
With Chicago Marathon in my sights, I was overjoyed and excited when I saw Camp Sunshine was looking for runners to help them raise funds for their camp! I was overjoyed and honored to help a place that has meant so much to my sister and her family.
In June of 2010, my nephew Cole was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma . He fought a very long and hard battle enduring many surgeries and treatments in multiple hospitals. Cole ultimately earned his angel wings on January 20, 2012. During his journey, my sister found Camp Sunshine. Camp Sunshine was a place where they could go to laugh, to cry, to be angry, to be sad but most of all to be around others who knew exactly what they were going through.
I am honored to be running in the Chicago Marathon for Camp Sunshine. I set my goal at $5000 which will send a family to camp for a week!
Please help me reach my goal!
Much love and thanks,
Forever,
Coles Auntie Marylin
