I've been following Crowdrise since it appeared but I finally decided to sign it up in June. Why haven't I signed it up before, is a question I've asked myself a lot. No answer. Really, I'm not that interesting, except for the fact that I'm responsible for at least one screw of that awesome Land Rover WE GOT (07-16-2010).

It all began a couple of years ago with the Maasai Warriors and the Maasai Wilderness Conservation campaign, and last year with the NY Marathon initiative (before most people had noticed it, including the media, and almost no one had yet donated). I donated some bucks for it and I felt great afterwards.

When Crowdrise was born I heard about this, and because I'm not into social networking I didn't sign up right away, but here I am now! You're in touch and you help, better than just being in touch with unknown folks out there with nothing in common.

We spend so much money on senseless stuff every day, we spend $3 or €3 (worse) on a latte that is worse than the one we'd have made at home instead of spending money on real nice things and feel we've done our part to change the world. Of course the physical part, helping in the field, is as important...no, it's even more important. But it's more difficult, and takes time. Now, fundraising or donating is pretty easy, just write some numbers and click on a button.

For those who know me, give me some offline and I will transfer through Crowdrise, if you feel more comfortable. I'll even take the time to write receipts!

By the way, according to the amount of points I've gathered so far, Iim officially a ROYALTY Member, which has increased my self-esteem in 1% (which in my case is A LOT)!
