BENEFITING: American Red Cross
EVENT: 2016 Boston Marathon
THE STORY:
Team Red Cross is honored to be an official charity partner of the Boston Athletic Association for the 2016 Boston Marathon!
On April 18, 2016, more than 60 Team Red Cross members will run the historic 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Boston in support of the American Red Cross mission.
With every mile run and every dollar raised, Team Red Cross runners help to save and transform the lives of people in their greatest time of need. Together, we are the American Red Cross. And together, we will finish the race Boston Strong!
The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers, and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering here at home and around the world through five key service areas: disaster relief, service to the Armed Forces, lifesaving blood and blood products, health and safety training, and international services.
The American Red Cross of Massachusetts serves 351 cities and towns across the Commonwealth with a population of over 6.6 million people. Since 2012, Team Red Cross runners have raised more than $880,000 in support of Red Cross programs and services in Massachusetts and beyond.
Team Red Cross is proud to partner with Dan Fitzgerald and Heartbreak Hill Running Company to provide expert coaching and training for Team Red Cross runners.
